Cough assist

O aparelho de Cough Assist 
 
"...clears secretions from the lungs by gradually applying positive air pressure to the airway and then rapidly shifting to negative air pressure. The resulting high expiratory flow simulates a deep, natural cough."
"Instead of introducing a suction catheter into the airway, the device delivers air non-invasively through a face mask, mouthpiece, or a simple adapter that allows the device to function with an endotracheal or tracheotomy tube. This reduces discomfort and risk of infection while effectively clearing tracheobronchial secretions" (PHILIPS CoughAssist T70)
 
Não me parece um ventilador. É um mobilizador de secreções que simula a tosse.
A ICD-10-PCS não menciona este 'device' mas, procurando 'cough' encontramos o seguinte:

E nas tabelas da Secção F, a que se refere esta definição, podemos construir o seguinte código:
F02CGCZ Ventilation, Respiration and Circulation Assessment of Respiratory System - Whole Body using Mechanical Equipment
que, no entanto, é um código de assessment / measurement.
Na tabela de Motor Treatment não existe 'Ventilation, Respiration...'
 
Não penso, por este motivo, que seja possível codificar o 'Cough Assist'.
Os colegas da anestesia e da medicina física e de reabilitação também se poderiam manifestar.
 
Entretanto o que é importante é mesmo codificar os diagnósticos. 
O tratamento médico está previsto quando um destes doentes é internado.
Centremo-nos no que é mesmo importante.
